This photo was captured at Yankee Boy Basin behind Mt Sneffels on the morning of July 23rd, just nearing the location's season peak for taking the best images. Although the area has become one of the most popular areas to snap pictures of wild flowers, some of the glorious images that we have been able to capture in the past are now unavailable. The mass gestation has unfortunately led to photographers trampling the native areas, carrying with them the seeds of foreign weeds that have begun to stifle and take over the landscape
